Travelling in Copenhagen

Transport in Copenhagen is very easy. You can use the same ticket for metro, train and bus. Find your journey here: www.journeyplanner.dk. Tickets can be bought over the internet or at vending machines at stations, using credit card. Copenhagen Airport is the main international hub of Scandinavia. With both metro and train station located right by the arrival hall, fast transport to the heart of the city is simple. Trains run to Copenhagen Central Station every 10 minutes at a travel time of 14 minutes. The metro runs around the clock and gets you to the centre in just 12 minutes.

Bike rental is available throughout the city.

City Pass

Copenhagen's public transportation system is one of the best in the world! Travel around Copenhagen inexpensively and easily with a City Pass. It is also valid throughout the night when many buses and trains are also in operation.

Train

The train station is located by terminal 3. The trains run every 10 minutes during the day and will get you to Copenhagen Central Station in about 13 minutes. During the night the trains run 1-3 times an hour.

Citypass tickets can be bought at the ticket machines in terminal 3 just above the railway, and at the DSB ticket sales counter, also located in terminal 3. Please note that the machines only accept coins and all major credit cards, not notes.

To/from the venue: If you plan on travelling by train, Copenhagen Central Station is within reach from Copenhagen Central Station. To get to and from Copenhagen Central Station, you can take the bus line 30, which takes 20-25 minutes. All regional trains also stop at Ørestad Station, where you can transfer to the metro to get to Bella Center Copenhagen. Note that Intercity Trains DO NOT currently stop at Ørestad Station. Metro
If you take the metro, the center of Copenhagen is just a few minutes away. The metro is located right above terminal 3. All the trains go in the same direction from the airport (M2 to Vanløse Station), so you do not have to worry about getting on the wrong train.
The trains run with 4-6 minutes intervals during the day and evening. During the night the train runs every 15-20 minutes.

To the venue: The Metro line M1 runs between Vanløse and Vestamager. The metro station "Bella Center" is located by Bella Center's east entrance. 

Tickets can be bought at the metro station and at the DSB ticket sales counter in terminal 3. By the baggage claim you can also find purchase machines. Please note that the machines only accept coins and all major credit cards, not notes.

Bus
Bus 5C will take you directly to Copenhagen Central Station, City Hall Square, Nørreport and other stations. It takes about 30-35 minutes from the airport to the Central Station.
The bus runs every 10 minutes at day. The bus runs all night as well, but not as often.
Tickets can be bought at the ticket machines in terminal 3, or you can buy a ticket on the bus. Please note that the bus drivers only accept coins.

To/from the venue: Bus timetables can be found on the transport company DOT's website. You can also use the website Rejseplanen to plan your trip with public transport.

Taxi
Taxis can pick up passengers at terminal 1 and 3 and will get you to downtown Copenhagen in about 20 minutes depending on traffic.
Taxis are usually waiting outside each terminal.
It will cost approximately DKK 250-300 to the city center.

City Bike
Fancy getting around town like the locals? Then you should rent one of the City Bikes (Bycyklen), it is the easiest way to get around Copenhagen.

To rent one of the city bikes you need to create a user account, which you can do directly on the tablet on the bike. Find a city bike at one of the many City Bike stations and take out a bike by entering you username an pin code on the bike's tablet.
