COVID-19

In Denmark the COVID-19 situation is under control, and we are looking forward to welcoming you to the IFBLS 2021.

Travel information with regards to COVID-19.
Remember: You can enter Denmark even from yellow or orange countries if fully vaccinated, with a negative test or if previous tested positive for COVID-19.

It is no longer mandatory to wear facemasks any place in Denmark.

Even though many restrictions have been abolished, the safe and comfort of the IFBLS participants is our absolute priority. In light of the recent COVID-19 pandemic the Bella Center has integrated all necessary safe and relevant standard procedures and processes as well as specific protocols for

essential tasks such as cleaning, food preparation etc.

Corona passport

You will not be asked to show your corona passport at the conference centre, however, you will need to show your corona passport at restaurants, cafés and cultural attractions.

In restaurants in Denmark, you can use vaccination as documentation 14 days after your first vaccine dose.

If you cannot document vaccination or previous infection you are required to present a negative test (72 hrs antigen and 96 hrs PCR) to access restaurants, cafés, cultural activities, and attractions.

The focus of the IFBLS2021 organizers and the scientific committee is to provide the participants with a scientific program of high standard and with interest for biomedical laboratory scientists and others working at laboratories in the health care system. The program can be found at here and consists of 4 tracks with more than 25 invited speakers. 
 

Will IFBLS be an on-site or digital congress?

IFBLS2021 will be an on-site scientific congress. 

Can the congress be cancelled and who decides this?

Yes, the IFBLS2021 can be cancelled, and it can even be cancelled with a very short notice. IFBLS2021 closely follows all the rules and restrictions initiated by the Danish health authorities and the Danish government. This means, that if any authority in Denmark does not allow IFBLS2021 to take place the congress will be cancelled.

In case of cancellation registration fees will be fully refunded.

Please note that dinners tickets will not be refunded.

We recommend that transport and accommodation are booked with the possibility of cancellation.

Will IFBLS2021 be postponed again?

IFBLS2021 will not be postponed. In case of cancellation the next IFBLS congress will be in South Korea in 2022.

Can I get my registration fee refunded if travel restrictions make it impossible to participate at IFBLS2021?

Yes, if travel restrictions prevent you from participation, you will get a full refund of your registration fee. Additional costs e.g. dinner, hotel and travel will NOT be refunded. We recommend that transport and accommodation are booked with the possibility of cancellation. Please note: We will need written documentation sent by email for any new restrictions occurred between the time of your registration and the conference dates that prevent you from participating.

Can I get my registration fee refunded, if restrictions enforced by my employer make it impossible to participate at IFBLS2021?

Yes, if you at the time of registration were allowed to participate and new restrictions makes your participation impossible you will get a full refund of your registration fee. Additional costs e.g. dinner, hotel and travel will NOT be refunded. Please note: We will need written documentation sent by email for any new restrictions occurred between the time of your registration and the conference dates that prevent you from participating.

General cancellation terms

Cancellation of registration must be notified in writing to CAP Partner at info@cap-partner.eu.
Cancellations postmarked before and on 31 May 2021 will be refunded deducting administration € 30.
After 31 May 2021, registration fees are non-refundable. NB! Please note that tickets for the conference dinner are non-refundable.

Will there be an exhibition at IFBLS2021?

IFBLS2021 still have the full support from sponsors and exhibitors. At IFBLS2021.org you can see the full list of sponsors and exhibitors.

I really need a break from Covid-19, to meet some fellow biomedical laboratory scientist. Will IFBLS2021 be my chance?

The congress will allow you to submerge into a scientific community with colleagues, hopefully from all over the world to connect both scientifically and socially. IFBLS2021 also include a wide range of exhibitors, who look forward to meeting all of you, as it is a long time since they have had the opportunity.

Social activities have been planned for you as a participant, activities that give you the opportunity to network and share experiences with colleagues.

Please note: Current restrictions are likely to be changed or lifted during spring/summer 2021 allowing for travellers to enter the country at the time of the conference in August. Conditions may apply.
